Just updated my PS3 firmware to 3.0 and noticed the addition of a “tv” item on the xmb, and under that is an item for the BBC iPlayer.

It still runs through the browser, but the selection screens are all optimised for the system, so it’s easier than ever to watch the catch up tv.

I wonder when we will see one for ITV and Ch4 too? Knowing them, they will need at least another year to catch up with the catch up!

They really are not very bright these crooks are they?

Sony have announced a price drop for the new light weight PS3 console. No excuse not to have one now. Not only is it one of the best BluRay players out there, it is a SUPERB home media PC.

I have all my video, music and photos streaming over WiFi across my house to my PS3 in the lounge, and it is flawless in its operation.

It really is quite a superb bit of kit.

So I have just added the Wordpress application to my iPhone, and have written this blog page from the comfort of my bed on a Monday morning! I have to say, the application was a breeze to set up, and only a minor tweek required to the wordpress settings to enable the app to connect.

The app also lets me update pages and even edit previous posts. So there is a reasonable chance I may now update my blog a bit more often than I have of late.

Only thing left to work out, is how to link to other content from within the text, as I can only copy and paste one URL at a time!

As of about mid-way through next year you can expect to be able to buy a new netbook with Google OS pre installed.

Now this may not “wow” you too much, BUT the entire OS is designed for the web user. It will boot up and be on the web in seconds. It will be light weight, and (i expect) very intuitive to use.

Well done Google…. can’t wait to see it !
