    June 10, 2009 by admin

I have recently set up some web hosting with dreamhost.com. The provide unlimited bandwidth, storage and number of databases. They give you full control over everything you could possibly need, and they are running a special deal right now for signing up.

Seriously, if you are in the mood to buy some great web hosting, check these guys out.

  2. iPhone predictions

Well it turns out my predictions were spot on! The only thing to work out now is how I can justify getting one ahead of my upgrade month!

  3. New iPhone? What do you think?

    June 7, 2009 by admin

So the Apple Dev Conf starts tomorrow…. and rumours abound that there will be a new version of the iPhone available.
I’m predicting that the new hardware will only be a marginal improvement on the current 3G set.

    • Better Camera
    • Longer Battery
    • Video capability
    • Higher memory capacity
    • …and of course all the new firmware stuff in the current Beta

I’m thinking that Apple are not going to be looking to the current iPhone users to feel like they “have” to upgrade their hardware straight away this time, unlike when the 3G came out, but I suspect many people will. I wonder if O2 will be offering contract renewal deals like they did last time? Hmmmm.

I also think (and hope) that the 3.0 release is made available for all the rest of us on the same day too. I am really looking forward to native MMS and a bit of copy ‘n paste action !

Will be fun watching the developments tomrrow afternoon (UK time) and viewing the inevitable keynote (“just one more thing”) later in the evening.

Gotta love those Apple guys, and I really do love my iPhone!

Finally the US Federal Trade Commission has done something useful for all of us.

Its a shame they can do this sort of thing a little bit quicker and more often.

  5. Project Natal

Amazing new human interface created by Microsoft.
Now I am not the biggest fan of the xbox 360, in fact, you could argue that I am in no way a fan at all. In FACT…. I dont have one! (PS3 Media Hub for me!)

    BUT….

Wow…. what an amzing new bit of tech they have created. A full body motion capture technology.
I’m guessing its somewhat based on the similar PS3 Magic eye camera in some way, but have yet to see “how it works” from a tech perspective.
