  1. Movies on a mobile…. hmmm

    February 27, 2009 by admin

    According to Kevin Spacey anyway.
Personally, I still think the movie experiance really does need a 106″ widescreen projection with full Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.

    But maybe thats just me!

  2. Sony Ericsson’s Idou

    February 24, 2009 by admin

First looks are promising. Quite a nice looking interface. 12.1 Megapixel camera phone.
iPhone killer? well…. perhaps not…. but a good start from Sony Ericsson

  3. The end for Honda F1?

    February 23, 2009 by admin

The clock is most definitely ticking now for Honda F1.

With the first race of the new season on the 29th March, you have to wonder if it is the end of the road (groan) for Honda and they will not be on the grid for 2009.

  4. Stunning Government insight

    February 22, 2009 by admin

Incredibly, the government has today finally admitted what everybody else in the country has know for at least the last 5 years. Quote “Mortgages of 100% ‘were foolish”.

Fantastic. Well done indeed. Better late than never.

Perhaps in 5 years time they will be telling us that …. oh… hang on……. it will be a different government by then…. scratch that!

  5. Ryanair allows mobile phones in flight

    February 20, 2009 by admin

Oh my god….. never before has it been so necessary for me to ensure my ipod is fully charged, and my in-ear “block out other peoples annoying chatter” headphones are in my carry-on baggage.

I’ll be honest with you. Love the technology. Great. Fantastic. but… lordy… do I not like the idea of sitting next to somebody make use of the service!

    “HELLO?  …… HELLO?…… YES………YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS….. I’M ON A PLANE!”

  6. Lets sue Google from dodgy ground

    February 19, 2009 by admin

This article made me laugh. In particular, the part near the end

“The Borings do not dispute that they have allowed the relevant images to remain on Google Street View, despite the availability of a procedure for having them removed from view,” wrote Judge Reynolds Hay.

“Furthermore, they have failed to bar others’ access to the images by eliminating their address from the pleadings, or by filing this action under seal,” she said.

  7. Android v2 = Cupcake

    February 17, 2009 by admin

So vodafone have finally thrown their hat in the ring with their “Magic” phone.

    LINK

Looks a lot better than the G1, so that’s a good start. And its a full on touch screen with no slidey outy keyboardy thingy.

Interestingly, they have not learnt from Apple’s mistakes, and will sell it with proprietary headphones. The iPhone did this, and the iPhone 3G corrected it.

I am simply amazed that Vodafone could allow such a flaw in a brand new product in this day and age. Don’t they realise that users have their own preference when it comes to head gear?

  8. Wish you were in Barcelona?

    February 16, 2009 by admin

    I know I do!

Barcelona is playing host to the Mobile World Congress this week. You can expect to see and hear lots of articles in the press over the next few days on what we can expect to find in our pockets over the next year.

Personally I would be quite happy to just have Apple release Flash on my iPhone, but that’s a whole other issue. (It’s been coded since November last year, apparently, but Apple wont support it’s release yet)

Anyway… check out the link below, even Kevin Spacey is a keynote speaker talking about his triggerstreet.

  9. Tesla finally gets funding

    February 12, 2009 by admin

Tesla finally gets some “government funding” for its fully electric car development. Its been rather annoying that the US government has been happy to plough money into the gas guzzling manufacturers but has been completely ignoring the companies that actually have the imagination to think about the future of our planet.

Now, I like cars as much as the next man, but in my view the more money that goes to forward thinking companies like Tesla the better.

  10. Free Music. Yes you heard me right…

    February 12, 2009 by admin

If you love music as much as me, you will probably find that the word “Free” when used in the same sentance as the word “Music” does not normally end up meaning quite the thing we expect it to.

So when I was introduced to Spotify I didnt hold out much hope.

Turns out, its a very good service that is “Free” and allows you to listen to “Music”.

It plays you an advert after a whole bunch of songs, but thats no worse than your average Radio station. And you dont get to choose your own playlist on the radio! Unless your name is Chris Moyles I suppose.

I kid you not, its pretty darn good.  Check it out.
